Baby room (0-18m)
Our nursery is divided into 4 main rooms which are age based. Your child will begin in the room of their current age and progress through the nursery as they get older. We also have our Sunflower Suite which is a great addition to the nursery and is a calm space for all ages to use throughout the week to regulate their emotions and we also host SEND support sessions in here weekly.
Our baby room is situated on the first floor and is the home away from home for our youngest babies in our setting. Our babies require a lot of attention and therefore staff are on the lowest legal ratio of 1-3 in here to support the development of those little brains. Our nursery values are met all across the nursery but specifically in here we tend to focus on Love, Kindness, Nurturing, Happiness and Warmth.
Tweenies room
(18m-2y)
Our Tweenie room is for our older babies and is situated on the first floor just across from the baby room. We aim to meet their development needs at this stage and focus on the main 3 prime areas of physical, communication and their social needs. These are met through the continuous provision and hours of activities and fun that we provide for them in here. We focus on the nursery values of Playfulness, Resourcefulness, Adventure, Kindness and Warmth.
Toddler room (2-3yrs)
Our Toddler room is situated on the ground floor next to the office with easy garden access as our Toddlers just love to be outdoors. The toddler room supports the progression through the EYFS and your child's 2 year progress check will inform you of this. Our Toddlers make their first friendships in this room and will often come home with lots of stories about their day at Happy Feet. Our nursery values which are evident in this room are Playfulness, Imagination, Creativity, Adventure and Kindness.
Preschool unit
(3-5yrs)
Our Preschool unit is the final journey for all children before they leave and head on to their next journey which is 'Big school'. Pre school has 2 members of staff who hold a qualified teacher status and who act as our very own teachers here. Preschool is a journey all about understanding, school readiness, learning in new and exciting ways and the last push of their early years journey. We pride ourselves in the uniqueness of school readiness in the ways we encourage children to learn. We encourage independence and their own paths which at this stage is common for them to find their own way of life on. Our children are the minds of the next generation, which is why this room is very important for their development and our values, mission and vision all become noticeable in the children who have been with us since the very beginning. The values which we see throughout our Pre school unit along with the rest of the nursery are Creativity, Innovation, Teamwork, Resourcefulness, Nurturing and Love.
